Ingredients

Cooked Basmati Rice: Basmati rice, caramelized onion, mint, green cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves, black cardamom and mace.
Masala Sauce: Unpeeled ground tomatoes in purée (vine ripened fresh tomatoes, tomato purée, salt), water, onion, butternut squash, garlic, ginger, red pepper, salted butter (cream [milk] and salt), canola oil, cashews, salt, black pepper, cumin, cinnamon, red chili, coriander, green cardamom, cloves, fenugreek, bay leaves.
Seasoned and Roasted Chicken Thigh Meat: Boneless and skinless chicken thighs, water, spices (Including cumin, ginger, turmeric, and paprika), less than 2% tapioca starch, lemon juice concentrate, vinegar, sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon oil.
Raita Delight™: Freeze dried cucumber, spices, salt, sugar.

  • Remove basmati rice and Raita Delight™ pouches.

  • Microwave rice pouch for 3 minutes. The pouch should balloon during the last 30-40 seconds. (1000 W microwave. Adjust time to watts. Heat rice to 165°F). Let pouch sit for 1 minute and then open with scissors. Please handle carefully as contents will be hot.

  • Pour remaining ingredients (except the Raita Delight™) from the package into a 12 inch non-stick skillet. Cover and cook over high heat until the sauce is liquefied, about 5 minutes. Stir well and continue cooking covered, stirring occasionally until sauce starts to bubble (about 3 more minutes). Reduce heat to simmer and cook for an aditional 5 minutes or until chicken feels tender and hot. Product should be cooked to 165°F. Turn heat off.

  • Prepare raita while ingredients are being cooked in the skillet. Pour Raita Delight™ into a small container of non-fat plain yogurt (6oz or 170gm) and mix well. Your raita is ready.

  • Pour heated basmati rice into skillet. Mix all ingredients gently. Avoid breaking cooked rice grains.

  • Serve with raita on the side. Spoon as much as you like onto biryani and enjoy.
