A full-flavored vegetarian delight. Chickpeas, fire-roasted eggplant and zucchini, and carrots in an aromatic sweet and tangy Moroccan sauce made with our fresh ras el hanout spice blend. Served with basmati rice blended with organic diced apricots and cilantro.


Moroccan Tagine sauce: Water, onion, unpeeled ground tomatoes in pureed tomatoes (vine ripened fresh tomatoes, tomato puree, salt), garlic, extra virgin olive oil, concentrated orange juice, ras el hanut spice blend (mace, green cardamom, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, turmeric, cinnamon, coriander, cloves, star anise, black pepper, white pepper and cayenne pepper), honey, salt, smoked paprika, lime juice concentrate.
Vegetables: Cooked chickpeas, fire-roasted eggplant and zucchini, carrots.
Cooked Basmati Rice: Basmati rice, organic unsulphured dried apricots and cilantro.

  • Remove basmati rice pouch.

  • Microwave rice pouch for 3 minutes. The pouch should balloon during the last 30-40 seconds. (1000W microwave. Adjust time to watts. Heat rice to 165°F). Let pouch sit for 1 minute and then open with scissors. Please handle carefully as contents will be hot.

  • While rice is heating, pour remaining ingredients from the package into 12-inch non-stick skillet. Cover and cook over high heat until the sauce is liquefied, about 5 minutes. Stir well and continue cooking covered, stirring occasionally until sauce starts to bubble (about 3 more minutes). Reduce heat to simmer and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until vegetables feel tender. Product should be cooked to 165°F.

  • Pour Moroccan chickpea tagine over basmati rice and enjoy!
